Look close my friends. The boys have new shooting irons. Still shooting the world's best B guns, but this year, no more Benellis.

I haven't made them all out, but one was easy. It looked like Phil (Patriarch) and Jase are going with one of the finest duck killing machines ever made - The Browning Auto-5.

Si clearly had a Beretta. At one point the bottom of the pistol grip was turned to the camera (no accident most likely) and it looked like I saw the famous Beretta trident. The gun sure looked like a Beretta semi-auto.

The episode last season where Kay was talking to all the granddaughters, Phil came in the house carrying his old Auto-5.

Si used a Benelli in the poodle scene.

Yes, I watched that episode after I started this thread. It did look like Si used a Benelli in the poodle retriever scene.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure which one was uglier - the poodle or the Benelli. Both seemed to work ok though.

At one time I thought Jase had either a blue or green receiver on the semi. I think it was the dove season episode. That's most likely a Beretta....

I believe that Phil was shown shooting with two scatterguns....one was the Auto 5.
The son also had an Auto 5 in one scene.
Nice to see guns without camo or tubes or, especially, without a rib.

I missed it last night  Sick and had to go to bed. I think they'll shoot pretty much what sponsor pays most esp. in the reality show but Phil's always been quite partial to his old Sweet Sixteen. Was it shucking purple empties?

If you look on the Duck Commander website no shotgun maker is listed under their "Sponsors" listing.

Phil has used an old Auto-5 for many years. If you look back at their first videos from the early/mid 90's he was shooting a sweet sixteen before they were sponsored by Browning and then Benelli. Sponsors may come and go but his old humpback will remain forever.

Not sure about current. But at the time of the Duck Dynasty book release by Willie and Korie Robertson, Benelli was still a sponsor. In the book, he explains the reasoning behind the switch to Benelli and Realtree. Believe it or not, Michael Waddell played a large part in them coming to realtree. The gun switch had something to do with Browning changing management and the partnership had grown apart.

He goes to say everyone was on board with the benelli switch..........except Jase.
Get the book. Its a pretty good read..

What says a lot is that you have never met them in real life, yet you feel compelled to say something nasty and petty about them. Yet I've talked to people that know the Robinsons and others that have met them, and they cant say enough good things abiut the family.

Well I don't care what they shoot, but they aren't "Clowns", and every one of them is more literate than you. Including Si.

Do you really think they are are a good representation of Duck Hunters ? They may be nice, but reality TV shows are a joke. Good Hunting
