Hi guys; I got my hands on grandfather's records, and I'd love to be able to find and pay to recover his guns.

They were auctioned off I believe in Pittsburgh PA in '89 or '90, and are as follows:

(if other descriptors are necessary, I can excerpt from his doc's; difficult to read however)

Parker B-Grade single barrel (12 Ga. ?) I gather; serno 145832

Parker 12 Ga Vulcan Grade, serno 92723

Parker 16 Ga, serno 235255 GH Grade (?)

Parker 12 Ga, serno 101235 Vulcan Grade

Parker 12 Ga, serno 85523 G Grade "BOHLER BARRELS" (DOUBLE BARREL ? ) Anton Sodia Ferlach Austrian made or modified

Parker Hammer Gun, serno 12252 Damascus Barrels, made 1876 - 78

Parker D Grade serno N139796 "Damascus Steel extra barrels" (?)

Parker 20 Ga, serno 202763 made 1922 - 23

L C Smith 12 Ga Field Grade serno unknown; may be in the company of others?

Fox Sterlingworth 16 Ga no serno; bought new 1933-34, Beavertail Forearm, also perhaps in the same company?

Ansley H Fox serno 27913, 12 OR 16 Ga "Automatic Ejectors, good BARRELS"

Any help, including reference to other boards would be helpful; thanks.

The serial number on the B Grade Parker single trap is not a legitimate number. Try again. What was your grandfather's name?

Try posting serial #s on specific brand sites, i.e. Parker, Fox.
Sold almost 30 years ago, it will very difficult, if not impossible.

Thanks for replies

lowgun; serno for Parker B Grade was added to doc at a different time (different ink); could it be the # of another posted w/o the serno, end of list???

Gramps was Charles W Buttermore II

-------------------------
Can't hurt to try Dr Duk; recent story of a serviceman getting a gun from CMP, from 50 yrs earlier; another recovered a few years ago from ? long ago...

Will check brand-specific boards.......................................

Could one of those guns have been used by C. Buttermore I at Interstate Park, L.I. Oct. 30, 1901?
