Cabelas is selling a new Franchi affinity select. I believe it is a Cabela's exclusive model. Same affinity design with upgraded wood and some engraving. I ordered the 20 gauge version and I've seen both the 20 and the 12 in person and boy...the wood is beautiful on these guns. Looking forward to picking it up and using it on some pheasants this year.

I recently purchased one and have not had a chance to shoot it yet.
To me it is a beautiful piece of work. Fit and finish are on the money. It shoulders well and feels comfortable. I had been looking for a semi auto to replace a low cost gas operated one that I have been using for mostly trap and sporting clays. I'm not sure how to post pics but when I do I will post some.

Didn't get the "select" model but did just buy a new Affinity with wood furniture. (40875) Being a long time Benelli auto user the Affinity is a lot of gun for not a lot of money. I shot some clays with it earlier in the week and it performed admirably, went boom every time. I bought it primarily as a backup to my Benellis, and think it'll do the job very nicely. :-)

rangeshooter,

Just out of curiosity, what number did you get? If you look underneath the gun where the wood meets the receiver, there should be a number out of 500. My 20 gauge says 2/500. I wonder who got number 1/500.

Beautiful Shotgun!

Do we know if this is based on the newest Model of the Affinity?

It appears to be base off the affinity not 3.0. The charging handle and bolt release look smaller. Beautiful gun.
