Hi Randy, Do you know of a good gunsmith? I have a Remington 870 slug gun that I want to have the barrel pinned and a scope base dilled and tapped. I live in the Tinley Park IL. area. Like to find one 50 miles or less. Thanks for any INFO. {hs#

Tried to PM you Randy but couldn't for some reason.

My brother lives in Tinley.

I'd call Midwest Gun Works: https://www.midwestgunworks.com/gunsmithing.html . They do a fine job.

Thanks Randy, I have used MGW 2 times before they do a great job!
I wanted to ask you if you had a gunsmith in our area that you use. I'm going to just sent it to MGW I know it will be done right.

I understand that. My regular gunsmiths are mostly retired or semi-retired, and I'm always leery about recommending folks that are six months behind. MGW is very good, and the turnaround is faster than most as well.

Randy Wakeman, would you recommend MGW to tighten up the action on a well used Japanese Winchester 101?

I've not used them for that, but I would certainly call them and would have no problem doing so.
