i now have in my possession 12/70 SxS, any information to correct my assumption on the year of the gun would be appreciated....but...my other quest it to understand what this gun is best used for....

rabbit, duck?, turkey?
slug?
steel?
FMN 54994
N*1

what does the 1400grms
and 300kgs mean?
Barrel shows 33 and 17.9 18.5 choke? vs 33 and 1/4 18.5 choke?

Cheers from Canada

You have a 12 gauge with 2 3/4" chambers.

Your barrels weigh 1,400 grams.

It probably says "900 kgs", which was the proof pressure.

Your bore diameter is 18.5 mm in both barrels.

One choke diameter is 17.9 mm, which would give that barrel a constriction of .024", which is Improved Modified.

If you can figure out how to post a clear picture, we could decipher more.

Your shotgun is engineered for light (1 oz or 1 1/8 oz) payloads of lead shot and designed to hunt upland game.

The N*1 is the date code of 1968
If the N has this: ~ Over top of it, then its 1969.
