Reading some of the comments in this thread, you might think that Remington was responsible for all the prior financial woes of Winchester, Colt, Savage, Ithaca, Benelli, Browning, and I guess everyone. Was it a clever fellow at Remington that invented Browning salt wood? Who was that guy?

With the number of (older) Remingtons currently in my safe numbering in double digits, it would be a stretch to label me a Big Green hater. Having tried ownership of five of their newest products and sold all in disappointment, what am I supposed to believe, Internet cheerleaders or my lying eyes?

You need a new rabbit's foot. I have not run across any of these aberrations in my travels.

I do not trust Remington's dating service accuracy. If they were Match.com, you could end up with Nancy Pelosi.

Maybe several as I'm personally aware of two guys with hitches in their Versamax's and another with a problem in his V3.

As stated before, everyone hopes Big Green's new owners....get it right.

I got my Wingmaster Claro back Wednesday and sent it back to Remington the same day. Of the long list of issues none of them were either addressed or fixed properly. The detent ball on the barrel wasn't repaired, the stiff action was not addressed, the dented up barrel support with poor/missing bluing was ignored and the stock with modeled clear was not replaced or repaired and in fact the butt stock was actually damaged during its time in Illion. The trigger assembly was replaced but the replacement already has powder coating flaking off and they replaced the magazine cap which was fine with this rusted looking worn piece of sh*t, in short it came back in worse condition then when I sent it in.

I find this to be extremely disappointing. You purchased an upgraded gun, granted it is not a custom shop gun, but it definitely is a premium model upgraded from their Wingmaster line. Remington should be looking at this closer. I hope things work out properly in the end.

Please keep us posted.
