I was trying to figure out all the different shotgun models that do not have a recoil spring in the butt stock. I have not found a list of them online.

I know a couple of them, i was hoping you could add to my list.

Remington V3
Browning b2000

The Remington 11-48 does have a mainspring in the buttstock, as does the Auto-Five and variants.

Here's a few that do not.

Mossberg SA-20 and SA-28

Franchi Affinity (and the related Stoegers)

Fabarm XLR-5 and Fabarm L4S

The Beretta A400 Xplor/Lite/Xcel has a similar
gas design to the A300 outlander. It differs
in that it has a rotary bolt face and
recoil/bolt return spring around the magazine
like the Xtrema/Xtrteme models.

2 of my inertial Huglu's do not, one (the gas auto) does.

All Tristar semi autos do not have any return springs in buttstock.

Can't beat the remington v3 for simplicity, soft recoil and very little that can go wrong. The Beretta is nice but more than twice the price. I sold my A400 and super Vinci after owning the v3 for 6 months

Add the Franchi 612, 712, 912, and I-12 as well as the Valtro made Weatherby SAS. The SKB Weatherby SAS of the first two years had the spring in the stock.

Browning A5
Remington M11
Savage 520
Remington 11-48

11-48's are bad a$$ guns in the fact they operate like an A5 and have something like 80% parts commonality with an 870. One of my favorite Semis

See part #1. The Browning A-5, Remington M11, Savage 520, and Remington 11-48 all have action springs in the buttstock.

Baikal MP-153 / Remington SPR-453

The Remington 105 CTi had the return spring around the magazine and a shock absorber in the buttstock. Not sure if that counts.
