Hi Guys, please recommend a Browning dealer in Maryland or Northern VA area that has a decent amount of guns in stock. I'm reading alot about the CXS line and would like to shoulder a few for myself. I tried the search function with little success. Thanks.

You mean it didn't occur to you to go to the Browning website and click on "dealer locator"?

Clark Brothers in Warrenton, VA is one of the better dealers in the NVA region.

Thanks Jwr50.

Yes I did try the Browning dealers site, but i don't think it's very up to date. The first place I visited only had a couple of Gold's and BPS's. No Citori's. I called two others in central MD and same story, very little in stock but could order anything I wanted. Was hoping to touch and feel a couple of citori versions before dropping $1,600 plus on a gun.

Cove Creek, Etchens, and Millers would be my choices, even though I live in Maryland. No sales tax at Millers.

If you haven’t been to Millers in a while you will be shocked at the inventory...a shadow of their former self. Many of the guns during my last visit were consignments and racks were poorly stocked. They may have guns in the back but not on display.

I think Cabelas has hurt their business. Sad to see.

Good luck.

Thanks for the information. Maybe Miller's business was affected by their anti-gun stance.

Call Loudoun Guns in Leesburg. Last time I was there they had several different Citori models. Clark Brothers in Warrenton (actually Opal, I think) is also a major Browning dealer, though I haven't been there and don't know what they carry in stock. Neither has a useful web site, but Cove Creek Outfitters' website is pretty good and they have a substantial number of 725s and I'm not sure what else.

No, Miller's was hurt by their customer service and Cabelas unfortunately.

I live relatively close by and have had many folks run screaming of rude salesmen and high prices.

I've not personally experienced this the times I've gone in, but perhaps that's because I've been around the shop a while. Their powder selection still beats Cabelas day-in, day-out. Gun prices are a tad high but have a better selection than Cabelas.

As for how much they stock, they had a CXS, CXT, 725, and a couple Golden Clays last time I was in but no Cynergy's and very few standard Citoris. A lot of the guns were on consignment. Hopefully, things have turned around a bit for them.
