So I've been looking all over the web with not luck for the netting that one would use to make a ghillie suit. As far as I know its some sort of burlap/jute netting, maybe 1" squares? I find burlap netting for landscaping, and that plastic-y camo netting, or burlap fabric with a print camp pattern, but nothing in between. Please help! Thanks

T, when I was alive I hand made a few nets for ferreting purposes.

It's a simple process and you can size them just as you want; a suit length would be dead easy. Also, for your purposes you'll be able to pick the exact mesh size, material and colour you want.

Video as per .... there are others on Youtube.

The ghille suits I see for sale in UK are nearly all made with plastic cut out leaves which might be quite noisy when brushing against brash and undergrowth. They run from the equivalent of $75 to 150. Home brew is better IMO. Best of luck.

Don't want a premade ghillie suit. I have something slightly different in mind, I might just try the handmade net.

I've made several from supplies I've bought on eBay.

bird netting for garden protection, or fishing nets. Old ones may be available cheaper as decorations If you live in an area with any commercial fishing. Maybe even modified sports nets: tennis, volleyball, bad-mitten?
