Mossberg just announces they will no longer do business with Dicks Sporting Goods.

Wow. It’s on now.

Wow. I bet of the guns that do sell at Dicks and their Field & Stream branded stores; Mossberg probably makes up a high percentage of their sales.

Kudos to Mossberg!

Good for Mossberg.

Hopefully Mossberg is a trendsetter in this , with all other manufacturer's following suit . Ammo producers should jump on also .

Out of curiosity I recently looked at the "Field & Stream" website and what firearms they sell from it . It seemed somewhat dishonest to me that they still carry the Ruger Mini 30 and many models of hi capacity handguns while taking a stance against others deemed too dangerous for public ownership . Clicking on their "firearms policy" link it was no surprise that it led to the Dicks website .

I remember a few years ago when firearm manufacturers bonded together to boycott a certain major outdoor show. The show's management had banned all AR rifles and their accessories from being displayed. The show was cancelled due to most of the vendors pulling out.

MKS Supply will not accept future orders from Dick's Sporting Goods or Field & Stream.

Ruger was required by a shareholder group to "issue a statement" about what Ruger was going to do to address gun safety issues.

They did. It was a statement that basically said, "blow it out your shorts."

Quote:
“What [the report] does not do and cannot do is force us to adopt misguided principles created by groups, who do not own guns, know nothing about our business and frankly would rather see us out of business,” said Killoy. “The proposal also cannot change what Ruger is about and what we stand for.”

I applaud them and it would be great if Rem and Ruger followed suit. It's been argued Remington can't afford to but the interwebs have said Mossberg is on their next purchase list whereas before they weren't even on their radar.

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be a hoot if Mossberg made an offer to buy Remington. It could turn Remington back into a family owned entity, and able to focus on what it had done best, make good guns for the masses. Like i said, just a thought.

Joe

Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms are just as bad as Dicks after what they pulled in IL. They’re just trying anything to get people to not hate them.

But the spin is alive and well. Just like after leadership from Daniel Defense “misspoke” about being anti 2A. So, believe what you will. The tune always usually changes after a hit to the bottom line.
