most people shoot a few patterns and if any positive change is noted, it is automatically due to the long cones that just paid for. When in fact, the method they used is probably statistically meaningless. Pattterning a shotgun is work and it takes a amazingly large number of patterns to prove anything one way or another. Besides, it is easy to lie to one's self.

2.5 degrees, about 1 inch in length.

Thank you for your answers, Randy,
they do not seem to be that long - but flat - compared to other sporters with 4 or 5 inch, not to mention Beretta.
Can we consider this as a disadvandage on ballistic performance, on recoil ?

You can consider it completely unimportant.

I emailed Blaser about the length of the F3 forcing cones. Here is the conversation:

Me,
Hallo, can you please inform me about the length of barrel forcing cones in a Blaser F3 competition sporting from factory ? Thank you for your time.

Blaser USA,
The forcing cones are very flat at a 2.5 degree angle, and are approximately
5 centimeters in length.

5 centimeters are about 2 inches. I think that is a good length for a flat forcing cone on a modern sporting shotgun.
