I picked up this gun while at my range for $25. I figured it would be a nice little project gun. The bottom of the receiver was damaged and a chunk was raised outwards through the forend. I hammered the metal back down into place and took these photos.

I was curious to see if it would be possible to weld the metal back together to operate the gun safely. I'm not sure how bad a spot that is for a failure to occur. I have no experience repairing anything, but I figure this might be an okay starting point. Thanks in advance
