I need to replace a magazine tube of a 1937 16 gauge Winchester Model 12. Are there any limitations to what I need to buy due to the Year of Manufacture? In other words, can one simply buy any 16 gauge magazine tube for a model 12, or is there something special I need to know about by virtue of it being made in 1937?

to the best of my knowledge all 16ga tubes will work...post WW2 tubes are sand blasted blue while pre war are shiny....watch out for metal cracks at the holes
