Hoping I selected the best sub-forum for this question. I purchased a Browning Cynergy CX Composite for clay shooting. The recoil seems excessive. Several trap shooters much more experienced and proficient than me agree. Is there any cost effective recoil reduction solution for this gun? I like the weight and the way the gun swings. It fits me well, but it just kicks too much to be enjoyable when shooting 100-200 clays in a day.

Shoot lighter loads. No 1 1/8 oz loads.
Lower velocity loads.
Add weight to gun

As others have said reduce the shot charge or increase the weight of the gun.

You can add weight to the butt stock and fore arm and maintain the guns balance.
If the gun keeps the same balance you will not notice the weight increase.

I'm using a 7/8 ounce bar with my MEC 650, the bar throws a lighter than 7/8

shot charge, somewhere between 3/4 and 7/8 ounce.

Recoil is less and I can shoot all day with no bad effects.
