Bought my first shotgun (Beretta A300) last winter, and just purchased my first sporting clay membership at Moore n Moore Sporting Clays in the Angeles National Forest in the LA area. I visited for my first time yesterday and immediately joined the club. Everyone there, both staff and shooters, were so friendly. I can't wait to improve my shooting and join some events, and look forward to learning more about this sport from all of you.

Cheers!

Good for you! This addiction can be as bad as crack cocaine.

I'll second the thought of OneOunce. This game is very addicting. I used to be a pretty good golfer. Haven't played in a few years, but rarely miss a weekend of sporting.

Welcome to our wonderful sport!

Since you are near Moore n Moore, I would highly recommend to take a lesson or two with John Fowler of Fowler Shotgunning http://fowlershotgunning.com/ - him and his wife Candice are excellent instructors and coaches, and great people to be around. Taking lessons early will ensure that you will ingrain proper shooting fundamentals right from the start and avoid bad habits, which will be much harder to change once muscle memory is established. John took me from E to B in about 9 month! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. Tell him Dennis recommended his services and he will take care of you. Good luck!

I agree w/ Dennis. A lesson or two will supercharge your progress and prevent a few bad habits we all tend to drift into.

Well done and welcome, have you the ability to get a second income as this is a game that CAN get pricey :o

I get a very positive attitude from how you write and I suspect you will have fun

Welcome aboard. It will be comforting to know that your disposable income has now become disposed of.

do it! go shoot with you brad, you'll hear funny jokes and he will break a few clays along the way as well.

This is a good tight knit community of guys and girls, and for the most part everyone is out to have some fun, make some great shots, and enjoy the company.
