I know there are bikers on this forum so this is to just say we have had the best races yet - New lap record of 135 mph over 37.5 mile course with top speeds around 200mph all on public roads.

You don't have to be mad but it does help. Enjoy

Yes, it helps. First motorcycle was at age 6 in 1973.

Incidentally, I've never been above 160 myself,

I've only been over 150 mph on a bike once, that was on a straight away. What those guys do on a bike is amazing. Makes dirt bike racing look tame.

Bloody mad is right. Not a manicured, safety designed track, but an old island circuit with trees, brick walls, cobblestone curbs and light poles eager to take you apart. I think IOM contest riders hold onto the seat with their testicles.

I was never much of a street rider, but developed decent trail riding skills before giving it up a few years ago, I don't bounce like I used to. But I did recently bring home a grail street machine, a 2004 Moto Guzzi V11 Sport. No, it won't hang with the current Japanese hyper rockets, but it looks fast just sitting there!

Eugene

Rather slowly these days - Just seem to lack any energy and my aiming skills are right out of the window - Read your post on National Anthems - The French lady wouldn't look out of place in leather and a whip.

Vikram

Was thinking of you a short while ago hope things are well with you and yours.

Due to weakness in my hands and arms I have sold my Winchester X1's due to their weight so don't come on here as often as I used to. - Down to a Beretta A300 now.

All best to you both.

Dave

200 mph on a bike. Well, OK, I guess one good thing is that you won`t have to worry about living the rest of your life as a quadriplegic if you go down. You`ll be dead long before you quit rolling.

I've seen a couple things on youtube, beautifl and thrilling to watch. I just have to think some of those spectators got worms too though. When a bike goes by as a what looks to be a foot or less at 100+ and the lady's hair gets slapped 180* away, that's just too close! And she laughs? Really? Or those God awful high speed wobbles? Oh Gawd!
Oh, and hello to all, been busy, killin' rats an such.

There was some dude a few weeks ago on my commute on a Harley who, it seemed didn't want me to pass, so as I closed in on cruise at 80 in a 75, I heard him throttle up, and at about 78 or so HE started getting a wobble and wisely backed off before it pitched him.

Boy needs to take those ape hangers off and tighten down those head bearings, but he won't.
