Just a note to the forum members.

I'm was looking to purchase a Verona and had a question regarding the grade of wood on the LX692G. On the Verona website, it mentions that the stock is walnut but does not indicate that it is a "select" grade. I called Verona and spoke to a unidentifed gentleman. I asked him about the type of wood used for the stock but before I finished my question regarding the grade of wood used, he became sarcastic and loud. His response was "what do you mean what type of wood? It's not balsa! It's not softwood!"

The gentleman did however answer my question in a more reasonable tone after I interrupted him and finished my question. In spite of this negative experience, I still went ahead to purchase the gun. It should be arriving in about a week.

BC outdoors has allot to learn about customer service especially now that Cress has moved on but I think you made the right choice in purchasing the Verona regardless of their customer service.

Fine shotgun great quality, you will be very happy with it.

Let us know when she comes in and you take her out.

Took 3 weeks to get it. It's a 28 gauge. Have not shot it yet but the wood-to-metal fit is excellent.

Newbie, very nice wood. Congrats on your new shotgun. I have a LX 692 20/28 combo and shoot the 28 most of the time.

VERY nice-looking gun, Newbie. Do you mind saying how much you paid?
