I bought an OLD MODEL STEVENS MARKED ESSEX GUN WORKS(SX), SINGLESHOT 12GA BARREL, TRIGGER GUARD, HINGE PIN, AND ALL INTERNAL PARTS, SPRINGS, AND SCREWS on ebay and I dont have a clue about what model stevens the parts belong to the guy i bought it from said that it was a pre 1900 shotgun. It has no markings on barrel and has no identifing marks on it at all except the number 113102 and there is no bead sight can someone help me. I would like to locate a frame for it and restore but I would also consider selling them if people are interested or have information email me at james.lee@charter.net

All I can tell you about Essex shotguns is that they were made for the Belknap Hardware Co. in Louisville, Kentucky by Crescent Firearms, J. Stevens Arms, and Harrington and Richardson.

There's a possibility it's from the 1800's.

But the serial number seems kind of high for that. If you're sure it's a Stevens, do a search in this forum for Callahan, he has all the Stevens records and can tell you what year it was made and which model.

Seriously, not much, maybe $20 IF someone knew which model the parts went to. Age has little to do with value.
