Post subject: is there a bottom eject semi automatic shotgun?

My wife told me when she was at the sporting clays club that she shot a semi auto Berreta shotgun that ejected from the bottom. Is there such a gun? Any info is appreciated because whatever it was she fell in love with it and we want to get her one. :?

Wasn't the Browning B2000 (which, I think was made from the early 70's thru the 80's) a bottom eject gun?

Don't know about Beretta.

No, the B-2000 is not a bottom eject gun. I don't know of any bottom eject automatics.

I don't think there is one, my brother is and my grandfather was a lefty and they would of found one if they were ever made.

The only bottom ejects made are the BPS and Ithaca pumps.

At one time Remington made a pump on the same browning patent that Ithaca uses but that was in the 1930's.

I think it is funny that Ithaca uses a browning Pump patent for its bottom eject pump and it is very different from the BPS browning patent that browing is using now. I like the Ithaca better than the BPS easier to take apart and shorter stroke. Both very good guns.

You guys are right as usual--the bottom eject I was thinking of is the BPS, but, of course it is a pump action.

Now that I think of it, not sure I've even heard of a bottom eject AUTOMATIC.

It might be the new Remington 105 cti. It's a bottom eject autoloader.

This question was asked in 2003. The Remington CTi105 was not around at that time.

Why would anybody go that far back to read posts, without suspecting that they were ancient? Just curious?

I have shot the 105 CTI bottom ejecting gun,it does a great job.My friend who is a Remington shooting instructor has one,he shoots from a wheel chair and it does not put them in his lap, tosses up front about 5 feet.
The gun is a field configuration and would make a really nice sporting clays gun, very little recoil due to a shock absorber in the stock.

Probably because someone else asked the same question today, someone else did a "search" on the topic, and then responded to the wrong post.

That's my guess!
