Hello, just wondering what is the difference between a 535 ATS, and a regular 500. Thanks, Mike

The 535 has 3.5 inch chambers. The 500 has 3 inch chambers. A few other little things but nothing worth noting.

Thanks for the reply, i was just wondering if there was a difference in the action or something. I didn't understand how it is marketed as a "All Terrain Shotgun", as my 500 can really take a lot of abuse. :D Thanks again, Mike

For a long time the Mossberg® 835 was their only 3½" Mag shotgun. In addition to the long chamber it was "back - bored (over-bored)" to 10ga dimensions (.775"). The Model 535 while 3½" chambered has the standard 12ga bore diameter (.729-731"). As far as the ATS designation; solely a marketing gimmick IMHO.
