I've been shooting my target guns all summer so I'm still under 500 with the Elegant A1.

The good news is that it still hasn't failed!

20 gage SPZme Purchased March 2005, 2500 shots, it doesn't like high brass reloads, they don't want to eject, had to use a cleaning rod. So it gets low brass new shells. No problems ejecting them a good 3 to 4 yards.

12 gage #1 SPZme Purchased April 2005, 1750 shots, 1 expended Mirage hull failed to eject from the top barrel once. used a cleaning rod to pop it out. Never happened again.

12 gage #2 SPZme Purchased used July 2005, 250 shots, this one has a 5 digit serial number, and don't kick near as hard as 12 gage#1 does.

The total round count is just the shells I purchased, I didn't include what friends and family members have shot through them. These are target and field loads.

Update
20 gage 3700 Just dove & Quail
12 #1 2750 Just Quail and Pheasant
12 #2 750 Just waterfowl with steel shot

New dogs this year so I haven't had the chance to shoot as offten as I like.

Up to 3000 rounds now without a problem. Shooting skeet all 3000.

One time shooting skeet a friend ran out of ammo (20ga) so we both used my 12ga without much cool down time for several rounds.

I have been pretty rough on this shotgun and no problems so far. {CR8

Tim

I had better hurry up and get that S-7 tool steel on order. Your getting close to that majic number where the upper firing pin fails!!

Linda is at about 29,500 and told me this morning if this cold rainy weather keeps up, she WON"T be shooting the Polar Bear League starting in Janurary!!!

Linda will bust 30,000 tomorrow!! I cleaned her gun today and it's a little looser than when she first started shootihng, but as a design engineer, it's the bestl manufactured shotgun I have ever seen!! It's been the best $389.00 I have ever spent! I hope my Browning 525 sportclay 32" barrels holds up as well!!

Now if they would only make 32" barrels I would be happy!!

Jim, at 30,000 rds both Linda AND the Yildiz deserve a party!!! I agree they are very good guns. By the way, I contacted Academy, as its been a month, about the availability of firing pins and parts for sale and am waiting for their reply. Merry Christmas, Tim

Well I counted it up and I'm at 3525 rounds on my Yildiz. I had several FTF's today on the top barrel also. Thanks to Jims instructions, I removed the pins, cleaned them and the receiver, oiled everything up and put it back together. The pins take less than 5 minutes to remove and reinstall them. Both pins looked fine, so I'll assume they just needed a cleaning. Tim

100!!! I now have 100 shots through my Yildiz.

I'll tell you folks one thing this darn shotgun points and shoots right where I'm looking, even with both eyes open. Now if I can only learn that the safety is no longer by the trigger and stop trying to pump the action after every shot I might actually hit more than 15 clays. I didn't realize how much muscle memory I had from shooting the same Ithaca for 20+ years.

Thanks again to all of you that pointed me in this direction.

Ok after the last month or so I'm up around 4500 or so. Not bad considering I haven't had it very long.

It's time for me to get off my butt and get those new pins done.

This question is for Tim C. Since cleaning your firing pins and receiver are you having anymore FTF from the top barrel? Thinking about buying one of these and want to make sure that I am making the right decision. Thanks in advance for your response.

Hank
