How do the BR110's stack up against the Beretta SP1's ??
Especially quality and handling

Beretta SP1. Both are the entry level sporting gun for each brand. The Beretta will hold it's value better.

I agree the Beretta will likely hold its value better.

They have 2 pretty different wood finishes.
The Beretta is flat oil finish (no gloss) and wood is usually rather plain in my experience.
The Rizzini is a polished oil finish (a bit more glossy) and you MAY find one with nicer wood (but lots of plain Rizzini's as well).

The Rizzini has a matte black metal finish as opposed to the traditional blued metal of the Beretta.
I personally don't like the Rizzini matte finish, however it would be more durable to scratches and wouldn't rust or show fingerprints as easily.

I think both are on par durability-wise, but Beretta has a much larger sample size and following so I would have to give reliability to the Beretta.
Parts and service for Rizzini is not a great situation (RizziniUSA/Fierce)

Handling is personal preference in my opinion. They do have a different fit/feel.

my 2cents

Google up Bruce Bucks review on the BR 110 in shooting sportsman. He does compare the 28 gage to the sp1 28 gage.

What is your use?

I think it would be a good choice. I have the BR110 in 28 gage and enjoying using it upland hunting.

I would love to find a dealer that has one for me to handle and make sure it fits.

Nicer wood than most 686 guns.

Finish is black cerakote per Rizzini USA, https://www.rizziniusa.com/collections/ ... ucts/br110

Nicer wood, lesser metal finish, lesser action.

Real world, i think you can toss a coin and be fine with either.
