Stocks have been bent since the 19th century in England and they remain where they were put...

I've read through enough of this thread to understand that Mike is super busy and to just pack up the barrels and send it with a note and $. I get it....But, does anyone know if I need to send extra for crome lined o/u barrels to be opened up?

I personally would not send Mike Orlen my barrels without first speaking to him. Maybe he was out of town or out of the shop when you called. I presume you are calling (413) 256-1630 during Eastern time zone work hours?

I tried calling and emailing with no response, should I just send him my barrels? I'm wanting to get 2 barrels done. Let me know thanks.

I never contact him first. I just send the barrels. They've always come back with the work performed as requested.

I got a hold of him and sent 2 barrels today for my Remington 1100. Looking forward to their return!

Is the price list on page one current? I went through all the other pages and didn't see an updated one.

Is there a current price sheet for Mr. Orlen' work?

To the best of my knowledge the prices in the first post are accurate.

I think the shipping charge is wrong. He charges $20 for shipping.

I believe Mike lost his online price list in the Photobucket purge. The one that's posted now is an older price list.

My o/u has a cast off stock, which is not working for me. Even though the stock is through bolted, are you able to bend it straight?

Josh, you would do well to phone Mike Orlen with your inquiry. He often doesn't respond quickly to e-mail and rarely posts here, but is generally accessible by telephone. He's worth the effort, though, as his work is quite good and reasonably priced.

I mailed him a set of L.C. Smith barrels last Friday (7/6). I got them back today (7/13).

The last two posts don't add up. Seems strange one would get a one week turnaround and another, nothing - after six months. I'd be concerned.

I fully agree. This is the first time I've sent anything to Mike for work and it was mostly based on the feedback received from this site. I have no idea why a set of barrels that were just sent in were completed before mine which I sent out mid-January. I can only hope that he has not lost them or sent them somewhere else.

I don't know if this makes any difference but I did not have barrels threaded for choke tubes. I just had my chokes opened. Maybe it's a machine set-up thing.

VERY Good News!....... I spoke to Mike today (Wed 8/8/18).......As I suspected he did have a medical issue (hospital time & rehab).........but, He's feeling much better and back to his Gunsmith work (3 days a week for now)...... so all of us waiting on our barrels should see them this month...... no need to worry
