Can anybody recommend a good gunsmith who's familiar with fixing forearm cracks on the Remington Model 11/Browning A5?
I inherited my dad's Model 11 16 Ga. which is in great shape except for the cracks running out of the locator pin holes at the back of the forearm. I know there's been a lot of discussion on this sort of thing in terms of doing it yourself, but in this case I'd much rather have a pro who's familiar with fixing this sort of thing do the job rather than taking chances botching the job somehow myself.....

I'd use Doug Carpenter right here on the forum. He repaired a buddy's cracked forearm, as well as many members.

Thanks for the props painter*

I have fixed a number of those.

For the OP I would imagine Arts gun shop would know their way around that repair.

Doug: Thanks for responding to this! Now that I've got a way to contact you - I'll be in touch next week when I've had a chance to take a couple of pictures of my forearm.
