I am going to set up a Winchester mod 37a 16ga for turkey hunting. The breakdown lever is loose. The gun itself is tight bout the lever has a lot of movement in it. Is there a way to tighten it up? I plan to have the barrel cut down and choke tubes installed, and mount a Burris FF3

I'd look closely at the top lever, the plunger, and spring.

Numrich shows the parts in stock.

Look at the top of this forum for Winchester/Cooey single shot.
It should give you an idea of how it’s put together and maybe what needs to happen.
