Anyone know how to remove Slick-EEZ from a recoil pad? I am looking at a gun that has at pad treated with it and has started to crack. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the coating?

I don't know how you could remove it. Sounds like it is new recoil pad time.

You might try using acetone to clean it off. The fact that slickeez is cracking is no indication of the pad material underneath, mainly a cosmetic issue.

Though guaranteed not to crack, it cracks. https://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewto ... 31&t=28698 .

Even though the Slick-Eez cracks, it still provides 100% of its intended purpose...that is to provide a friction free surface to facilitate a gun mount with no “hang-ups” on clothing.

I recently tried to purchase more of this product...only to find that it’s no longer in production...sad, as it works wonders!
