I carry a Winchester 23 side-by-side in 12 gauge. It’s in good condition, the wood does not need to be replaced but it’s very bland to look at. I’d like to find someone who could put some fancy wood on it and maybe a hand oil rubbed to finish. Recommendations?

Thank you!!

Wenig can do it. https://wenig.com/

If you want almost as good and really sharp looking for less money you might try Mark Larson. He does grain enhancement sort of like the factories now do but better looking IMO. He did a rifle stock for me a few years ago and it really looked much better afterwards from the rather plain grain it had before. Check it out below. Good luck.

I'll bet Doug Carpenter on here could do a masterful job as well.

Thanks for the kind words Oneounce.

I’d love to do the work and that is a neat gun. I do have a pretty good waiting list but I’d be happy to discuss the project with you 72shorty if you’d like to.

Doug

Sounds good Doug. I’ve got some odd errands tomorrow so if I miss you I’ll call you right back.

Jim Kobe in Minnesota put new wood on a couple Berettas for me. He started with a block of wood. Turned out very nice.
