I cleaned my F3 tonight. while admiring the receiver, I pushed the locking lever to the right and pulled the trigger. Click. How stupid can I be? I did the same thing again and the second "click". So to recock the gun, I thought, I put the barrel on, then the forestock. Nothing works from that point on. I can not open the gun. The locking lever will not budge. The safety moves but affects nothing . I can remove the forestock but that does not affect anything. I'm embarrassed and feeling pretty stupid about this. I'll be on a two hour drive tomorrow to a gunsmith but I would appreciate any info anyone on this forum might have about this issue. Thanks, Allan

I'll bet you need to manually recock the strikers.

And how is that done with the gun locked up?

You can’t get the barrels off? Twice I’ve seen a part break that prevents the barrels from coming off. We had to take the stock off to physically move whatever locks the barrels in place to get the gun open. At least yours is unloaded. It’s a little scary when it’s loaded.

It has happened on two different guns that I have experienced.

It was the same part both times and in each case after we got it apart they sent it to Blaser and the problem was fixed under warranty. Both guns were under warranty though.

Remove the buttstock.
