hi all i have a small gun store with a gunsmithing shop. I primarily work on AR 15's , bolt action rifles and all types of pistols

i have two shotguns and im stumped

first one is a side by side , winchester model 24

second one is over under
remington spartan gunworks spr310

neither wont cock when broke open to reload

the winchester with out the forend in place will cock easily, with it on wont cock at all and is almost impossible to get it to break

the other wont cock

any suggestions .... i have heard the front metal in the forend... the pivot pin?

thanks

Sean

The forearm iron is what cocks the hammers/strikers. Take the wood off the forearm iron and stock off received, then put back together minus wood and look how the parts interact. Should be able to see what is getting stuck

Is the forearm metal bent / broken spring ?
