Hi. New here. I have a JC Higgins Model 60 Semi auto 12 gauge. It has been 45 years since I was able to clean it. My question is, can I get the mag tube off along with all the springs on a regular basis for cleaning. Is the Mag tube capable of removal when ever I want to break the gun down for a thorough cleaning? I had it off recently, and it took a 20 penny nail in the mag holes and small hammer to release the threads. I could not get said tube back on due to possible thread burring? I had to take it to local gunshop for reassembly. Same gunshop was not answering my question about total breakdown. For some reason I remember being able to completely take it apart for cleaning and lubricating when I was a kid. Any help would be appreciated. Jeff NY

Good evening, and Merry Christmas. Thank you for the quick reply to my problem. I watched the YouTube video and quickly realized I had seen this earlier in the week. It doesn't go as far as I am looking for in the breakdown. And so the question goes on looking for its answer! LOL. If you find something referencing a total breakdown please send it my way! Enjoy the evening, and Happy New Year. Jeff
