am trying to return to service a single trigger fox model B receiver. i have a stash of firing pins and can not get any to install in this receiver. it is a late production model with a painted finish on the receiver. the firing pins I have on hand are the old type "3" diameter pins. the numrich parts illustration shows a "2" diameter firing pin on the late model 311/fox receiver. did savage use the "2" diameter firing pins on the later model 311/fox receivers?

.
IDK, but 2" or 3" diameter FP, installed in a SxS, adds up to a frame wider than the Model B frame.
Could a FP retaining screw be blocking replacement ?
