I think I’ve found at long last my favorite wood finish for my shotguns. All that’s good about the traditional formulas such as slacum, and none of the issues of Tru Oil: TimberLuxe. Please note that I have no vested interest in the brand or business.

After many years trying to find the magic formula for the ideal stock finish, I’m very pleased to have run into this tiny jar of wonderful stuff. Easy to apply, leaves a great finish, looks like a million bucks.

Yes, many have reported on Timberluxe's positive attributes and I will use it the next time I refinish although I have used TruOil in the past. It really helps when it is being applied to a beautiful stock like that on your gun! Well done!

Any tips on avoiding lint and or specs of debris in the finish? I am at about 4 coats and find an occasional spec or two.

Now years ago the Herters company said to take a clean cotton cloth and place it in a nylon hose. The cloth held the finish and the nylon hose was able to keep the lint out.

You only need fingers to apply and the coat should be so thin it can’t hold any dust.
