Hello All,

Fairly new to the world of shotguns and over unders. I recently picked up a brand new 687 Silver Pigeon III and I'm noticing some wear on the inside of the receiver that I haven't seen on pictures I find of used models. There's one deep gouge which I believe is from something working its way into the action. The rear most wear pattern is what bothers me the most. I have about 50 rounds through the gun at present day.

Please let me know your insights, as I know there are many years of Silver Pigeon users on here:

Normal wear.
Use grease in those areas.
