A few of the fellows I shoot with are shooting Guerinis and I’m thinking of purchasing one. However, one guy is left handed, another fellow shoots sporting clays and skeet but only low gun so there’s nothing they have that seems to fit me or my style of shooting. I’m primarily a casual skeet shooter with a round of sporting clays mixed in once in awhile. I always start with the gun mounted to my shoulder. Another “issue” is that I require a DAC of 1 3/8” for the beads to stack up in a figure eight when I mount the gun. Most all guns, including the Guerinis, have a factory DAC unless, of course, the stock has an adjustable comb. I have a preference for longer barreled guns and I’d like to stay away from a 12 ga. as I’m getting more sensitive to recoil as I get older. I currently own and shoot Brownings, Krieghoffs, and a few Beretta autoloaders.

I’ve looked at the Guerini website and the online catalog to try to determine which gun would most likely be a good fit for me but the more I study the catalog the more confused I am. So, based on the following, which models should I be looking at:

Sub gauge - 20 or 28 gauge
Adjustable comb
30” or 32” barrels
Prefer mid range (but not high) ventilated rib

Style of receiver is not critical to me - blued or coin type finish would be preferred. And, lastly, my BIG weakness is nicely figured wood. Hoping folks in the know might help me narrow my choices for me to not more than two or three.

Thanks in advance.

First question is through whom would you be purchasing the gun and are they equipped to professionally fit you? Second, do you have the ability to take a trip to Maryland?

Those are two great questions. If you are in Florida during the winter call John Woolley at Woolley Shooting Clinics. Very largeCG dealer. And has a large stock as well as an excellent stock fitter. He is in St. Augustine.

Does CG have a mid rib 20?

Perazzi does btw. My dealer has the Vintage in 20. I dig it.
