What are the differences between the AYA Nodel 53 and the Model 56? I have what I thought is a mdel 53 but it weighs in aboiut 8 lbs. It has 26" barels. Thanks for you input! |

Email AyA Fine guns with the serial number. They will tell you the model from their records. There may be a delay with the state of Covid-19 infection in Spain. |

The Model 56 is usually built as a competition (AKA: live pigeon) gun. It differs from the Model 53 in that it has a wider and heavier frame with a hidden third fastener and sideclips for high volume shooting. Interesting that your gun has 26" barrels. Most pigeon guns have longer barrels. As saskbooknut has suggested, send an enquiry with s/n to AYA. They may be able to confirm the model and maybe more. What are the choke constrictions? What type of rib? Is the forearm a splinter-type or a beavertail? Straight grip or pistol grip? Good clear, close-up photos of all the markings on the barrels, barrel flats and frame would help. An 8 lb. quail gun seems unlikely. A Skeet gun perhaps? DF Montani Semper Liberi |
