I been reloading for years but never paid attention to these wads. The data I was looking for was 1 1/8 straight wall hulls ie Federal Gold Metal. The wads in Question are: Hor Versalite Red PC G/BP 21 Hawk Trapper Anyone know what these wads are? Am I missing anything? Claybuster has served me well for years.

Most of those wads are long discontinued. The Hornady Verselite is cloned by DR, see the DRV12. And I think the DR XL 1 1/8 oz. wad may be a clone of the Hawk. Don't know about the others.

I posted some information about Trapper wads about four years ago in this forum. Here's a link to the thread: Help with wad IDMy couple of posts are dated Feb 9, 2016. Here's an image from that thread: . . --Bob

Lyman 5th Edition Shotshell Reloading manual? I’m only concerned with shotshell, but would like the most current data available. I’ve been scouring powder manufacturers’ websites for data but I’d like more options than presented there.

The Alliant site appears to be more up to date. This has me scratching my head. Are you denigrating the Hodgdon data because it includes loads that use obsolete wads and exalting Alliant data because it only lists data using wads currently available? I don't get it. There's lots of wads no longer made that still are in circulation. Is Alliant data better because it does not have data for older wads???

Oldtechshooter- Quoting was meant to add context and clarity. I apologize if it looked like finger waving, it was not intended as such.
However I'm surprised Hodgdon lists the Gualandi wads on that sheet. The retailers can't help but rename wads to fit their marketing/inventory ideas. A guy needs cliff notes to keep them straight. Hodgdons GU2025 = Precision Reloading TUWG2025 = Ballistic Products SG20L.

I’m only concerned with shotshell, but would like the most current data available. I’ve been scouring powder manufacturers’ websites for data but I’d like more options than presented there. fishrising- The Lyman 50th Edition provides data only for metallic cartridges. Latest and greatest for shotgun reloading? Opinions vary ... widely. Trying to find data but excluding powder makers leaves a much reduced pool of published and reliable data. Wad importers have data (Ballistic Products and Precision Reloading) but their data selection is even more quirky than powder makers'. --Bob
