The last time I was in a Dicks the gun counter guy did not know anything about what he had on the rack.
I wandered over to buy a daypack for hiking but thought the price way too high. Walmart had an equal for half of their price.

They don't want shooting/hunting sports business.
It isn't politically correct enough for Dick's to sell they items we need.
So, I've been to Dick's my last time.

On this mornings mainstream media TV news I saw while changing channels, I saw a feature piece on Dicks and their new campaign to empower young women athletes.

I think it was on NBC with (mo)Lester Holt.

Fortunately we raised our daughter better. She shoots, hunts and fishes with me; carries a pistol, and is a badass Rick climber and mountaineer.

She’s also not interested in shopping at Dicks.

I pray that my son meets a girl like your daughter.

for all of you who are so huff-and-puff against DICKS, how many of you live in a state with an anti-gun governor? Why are you still living there? Why aren't you moving away? Why are you paying taxes to a governor who hates guns?

I shop at Dicks when my kids need something for football or track, if their prices are the best. I also by on Amazon, hard to beat the prices. Guess what, Amazon is a leftist also. But money in my pocket is just that.

Hey, you guys still buying gas that came from oil from countries who want to kill Americans?

The Dick's where I live is fully stocked with ammo and guns. Prices are great, and when they sell Gun Clubs or Top Guns at a couple dollars a box cheaper than I can buy anywhere else in my area, you're damn right that I'm going to buy there. I bought 2 Montefeltros, a 12 and 20 gauge, there for $850 each. Everywhere else wanted $1,000. So, I'll keep buying at Dick's as long as they continue to sell what I want.

This thread has nothing to do with "RELOADING" and should be ended.

What it has to do with reloading is now that Dicks no longer sells discounted shotgun shells it is time to break out the old reloader and start reloading again.

Dicks has stepped on their Dick. Simple as that. We continue to fight the anti-gun movement. My shadow shall never pass their door again.

An appropriately named store.
Have not been in a Dicks in 7-8 years and doubt I ever will go there again.

the only reason DICKS is still in business is because they sell cheap CHINA made spandex
outfits to fat women who think it makes their butt look smaller. LOL

My local NY state Dick's rarely had shells on sale at the prices others have found at their local stores. I mostly only went to Dick's when Walmart didn't have White Flyers in stock and I needed a few boxes of them. Gander MT has been dying off and closing local stores and poorly stocked with most things. LCS's all know this and set their prices at do you want them or not levels. NY law prevents mail order of shells or cartridges, but not reloading components. Neighboring states are worse. So finding any shells, other than promo loads at Walmart, for decent prices is one thing that drove me back into reloading. Got sick of driving to the S-in-L's in PA to buy Herter's shells on sale at Cabela's or getting the few extra bucks off for being a veteran.

Hop on that Internet machine. Gander Mountain has Remington Gun CLubs on sale for $4.99 a box, free shipping . . .

Unfortunately the nearest Gander Outdoors is 40 miles away from me. And they cannot ship directly to me because I am in NY. But thanks for the tip.

Seriously? 40 miles is a deal breaker? Hell, I drive just about that far now just to get to my doctor and major shopping like Costco, Sam's, Walmart, Academy...........If you can't have it shipped, then 40 miles seems like a no-brainer to get ammo

The last time I drove the 40 miles to G M they didn’t have the shotgun shells they told me they had over the phone. There is a new store (Runnings) that just opened up close to me. I talked to the manager of the guns and ammo department and he told me that he is having trouble with the buyer, because the buyer does not believe that they can sell large quantities of shotgun shells and therefore will not order them. I am hoping the manager can change the buyers mind.
