I have a PW 800+ with wave system primer tray and the primer tray extension kit.

Anyone got a good tip on how to support the primer tray while re-filling it?

If I leave it in use (tilted up) position, often primers flip as they slide down when lifting the primer box off especially with Federal 209As and if I try to lay the primer tray flat, its precarious that it will fall off the support bracket.

There has got to be a better way.

Leave the primers in the original sliding carton and put the carton face down in the loader primer tray. Then slowly slide the carton away from the plastic piece that holds the primers to let the primers contact the loader primer tray.

Very slowly lift the plastic tray holding the primers from the front to let the primers slide down to the bottom of the primer tray. Before you lift the plastic tray with the primers in it, slide it down as close to the bottom of the loader primer tray as you can.

This will be a lot easier and more successful if you do this with the loader arm down on the rubber bumper because with the arm down, the primer tray has the least downward angle and the primers slide into the primer tray more slowly.
