Does anyone know a good place to buy once fired hulls? I’m specifically looking for 1,000 or 2,000 12 gauge nitros.

Go to a sporting clays shoot near you and cruise the trash bins. The bigger the shoot the more Nitros you will find. The STS hull is equally good and is easier to see on the ground and in the dry grass. Those gold hulls blend in more than you might think.
Gun Clubs load just as well but loaders without a collet sizer do not like them as those with brass bases.

If you don't want to dumpster dive always check GunBroker for hulls.

You can always post a WTB ad. I just sold 5 flats worth to a guy in CA from another forum. His shipping costs costs more than the the price of the hulls

Anyone of the gun auction sites sells them.

I saw the gunbroker hulls. The shipping is set at $15,000. I tried to work it out with the guy who posted it, but he isn’t getting my emails for some reason.

Yes, but I live kinda in the boonies and sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Worry not, I still consider it a great deal and I'm really enjoying filling up these Nitros! :)

For the past 3 or 4 years I collected many Nitros at a major shoot in Az. and sold them on this site. Most buyers want lots of 1000 or more and are willing to pay the freight. 500 seems to be minimum. I sold Winchester AA, Nitros, STS, Federal Papers, and Gun Clubs. I always sold out. Apparently not everyone that reloads has access to hulls or do not want to look in dumpsters for them. If you can stand paying $200 for hulls (approx 3000 hulls and freight) and reload them to their max usage maybe 10 times that is up to 30000 shells. I am told a quality hull can be reloaded that many times pending the type of load.
I hope to collect more next February pending this covid thing.I will post them in the Classified section.

Hello, I'm Myrick Browning and I'm a dumpster diver and I never pay for a hull!
Curly is right about finding the hulls on the ground and in the cans besides shooting stations. Since Remington offered the rebate the green Nitro hulls are everywhere. If diving for hulls turns you off you can find an employee at a club and pay him to gather the hulls you are looking for.

If you can’t find any send me a private message and I could spare some especially if you aren’t stuck on those gold nitros and are OK with STS Premiers

No question on legality.
They are just plastic tubes - loaded ammo would be an issue however
