I am asking what are the mosted use bushing? I was fixing to order some wads and a shot bar. I am new to reloading for a 410. I cant find them locally. So I was going to get the most used bushing. My order has the small reloading book for 24 28 32 and 410 shotguns.

I would order 10 thru 14, which one you need depends on which powder you pick, your charge weight and your machine operation "style"

Ok thank you so much. I was plaining on ordering 9 10 11 12 12A 13 13A and 14. Is that too many to cover them? What's the difference in 12 vs 12A powder bushing?

About .0035 inch in the diameter.

IMHO you could pass on the #9.

True, but with the very fine ball powders used in 410 it is a lot, about a 1/2 step between 12 and 13.

Your bushing selection should cover it. The difference between 12 and 12a is base on the powder to select.
As you write you’re new to reloading 410 (me too), you’re going to have to do some home work.
Go on MEC and find under downloads their Powder / Bushing charts.
The second page has all the choices and drop size, etc.

Assuming you’re a big dummy like me.....and not wanting to re-invent the wheel....
follow establish recipes for components.
I use Alliant 300MP powder and AAs hulls. So go online to Alliant reloaders guide, insert your components and there you will find load information (recipes).
My 410 loads....300MP, Win209primer, Claybuster wads, AAs hulls and......
#12 bushing for 1250fps or 12a bushing for 1300fps.
Use my load as an example to test your understanding of it all. Note that Alliant’410’ powder is popular and located at the end of the Alliant section on the bushing chart.
Don’t forget to weigh your powder to check that everything is like you want it.

Bushings don’t measure powder by weight. They measure by volume. Please buy a scale.
A scale is a necessity for reloading.

Perhaps you should elaborate by using examples that could lead to trouble or poor reload performance.

You want a list? Do your research and make your own list. You are just as capable as us, maybe you will learn something as you go instead of using us as your research service. Do a google search for 410 problems, there are plenty.
Here is a link, enjoy!

MEC bushings are notorious for not dropping the charge weight stated. According to their chart for my 12 gauge powder load, I was to use a #26; it took me using a #30 to get the proper weight of the powder drop. A scale is ESSENTIAL to make sure you are dropping the proper amount.

Ok I listen to ya. I ordered 10 11 12 12A 13 13A 14 and 15. In case I ever need a 15 only 4.00. Will I ever need anything bigger than 14 or 15?
