Mid-80s as a helper to my dad. I bought my own press in my early 20s. Bought a P&W progressive in my late 20s; 1998ish. I very load few shots shell anymore but still load small and large rifle cartridges.

Fifty-two years and counting. I bought my 12 gauge Texan M II-A progressive in 1968. Back then a 12 Lb. keg of 700X cost $26.-. I added a 12 gauge P/W 800 CVT in 1986. The former is currently set up for trap handicap loads and the latter cranks out higher volume trap singles loads. Both are well cared for and have proven to be very reliable, especially considering their age and mileage.

My Uncle returned from a 4 year trip to Europe in 1946, My Grandmother had pictures of Grampa, Dad, Uncle Harvey with me setting on Harvey's lap loading shells for the 30-40 Krag.... Harvey was still in uniform, I was pulling the lever.... i was 4 years old. Only skip in my loading was a 2 year trip to Asia in '65/'66.... used factory stuff then....... Grandpa would have been amazed at my 9000H. but then they had no electricity on the mountain till 1956. I still have a few of their guns, several of their loading books, and a bunch of his dies...... and lots of memories...... Larry

I started pulling the handle on a Mec 600 for my dad around 1970, 12 gauge only, got into for my self in early 80's, all Mec hydraulics. Dad said back in day primers and wads were a penny a piece. Shot in 2006 was $13 a bag.

Since 1960 for rifle, 1968 for shotgun. I originally loaded paper shotgun shells.

Seems I am one of the newbies. I started in 2000 with metallic cartridges. I have 4 MEC 600jr in 12, 16, 20, and .410. Not sure how many rifle and pistol calibers I load, but there are a bunch. I enjoy it as much as shooting.

One of the joys of reloading is when you are standing on the trap line and you see the bucket at you feet
has once fired Nitro or STS cases there for the taking .So even if you fall short on broken clays you
scored on primo cases

I got a Versamec '82 for Christmas in 1983 when I was 15. Have been loading 12, 20 and 28 since then.

Started reloading in 1975. Took a few breaks in between, but for the most part, never really stopped. I reload for all 4 of the skeet gauges along with rifle & pistol.
