Sizemaster alignment ...

My 12 ga sizemaster priming station is way out of center, and I don't see any way to adjust it. Picture shows the problem. Nothing appears wrong with the top nut - it's in the round hole ...

Any suggestions?

Can you rotate it around drifting it towards center?

Look at it in relationship to the column. Is it bent?

the size station next to it looks to be shifted over too.
I'd say that's a clue to look at the center shaft, or the top itself.

Your center column is not square to the base. Loosen the bolt that holds the column in the base and straighten it up.

I would guess this as well.

OK - let me check. To look at it, all appears fine - and the depriming pin hits dead center.

How can the deprime pin hit dead center with the edge of that die almost hitting the collet fingers on the column side of the press. See your pic and look at station #1.

Well, that's a good point - but it deprimes fine. Heading out to the shop ...

The deprime pin seems to guide itself correctly if not tight. The re-prime has a serrated lockwasher under the top nut and it's camming up on the weld bead, causing the misalignment.

I'm not clear on how tight these should be but the lockwasher suggests it should be tight ... see pic.

They are suppose to be tight. If it was my machine I would remove the station 2 punch and cut off a tooth or 2 from the lock washer so it sits flat.

Just swap it out with a lock nut and forget the lock washer.

Might be too tall and would prevent the primer feeder from sitting there correctly.

Grind clearance in that weld bead and put it back together.

After you grind off the weld it will always be fixed.

It is the correct way. I do believe more people have a bench grinder to remove the washer tooth then have a hand grinder to remove the weld. So I made a suggestion for the masses.

I took a relatively thick flat washer and ground a side almost to the hole. Reassembled. Works. So I'm thinking - how did this ever work? I bought it used.

OR, maybe it didn't and why you were able to buy it used.

Now is station 1 de-prime punch resting on some weld too??
It should be aligned with the center of the collet.
