Precision Reloading also makes roll crimpers very similar to the Lyman design. Cast and machined rather than pins like BPI's to roll the material.
The GAEP's are probably the best. But where the he** do you buy them?
I know this seems like an antiquated response but, hard to beat the old hand crank roll crimpers. Simple, easy and the crimps come out spot on. Short learning curve. I've never had a bad roll crimp yet using a hand crank model. I have one in both 12 and 16 gauge.

I have a GAEP and a Precision Reloading roll crimper in 10 gauge. They're both good. I don't think I'd say one is better than the other and the Precision is half the cost.
I have an antique and a Precision in 12 gauge. The antique works really well but again I don't know that I'd say it's better than the Precision. I like loading with the tool my Great Grandfather used to make goose loads.

On loading 12ga, I found that a 31/2” hull wouldn’t fit in the tools have. Will the antique tools do 31/2” 10ga?

Turk- The antique tool I have is a 12 gauge.
In 10 gauge I have a Precision and a GAEP. Actually in Precision heads I have 410, 28, 20, 12 & 10.

I hope this is not inappropriate. I have a 12 gauge Lyman hand crank belt driven roll crimper available if anyone is interested. Please send me a PM. Thank you, longgunnm

My Gaep 12 and 10 gauge finishing tools work Great in the Drill Press using the Stop gage that allows consistent wad pressure and OAL to my shells ! Plus I can get away with 1 1/2 to 2 grs less powder and get the same velocity from the Book . I do know I have the Best Looking Reloads in the Marsh and when shooting Custers or Annies , I always get asked , What are you shooting as the patterns are the advantage ! just saying
