 Post subject: How does a littleton shot maker work???

i saw a picture of one, but does the lead run down the ramp then off into the bucket of oil?? is as a simple as melting the lead and then dropping it into oil? how does it size the size of the shot?

I have posted infomation on the Littleton shotmaker further on this page. There is a 30 deg ramp one inch long, twelve inches wide, that the dribblers drop molten lead onto to impart a spin and a ball. The lead drops1/4 inch into Dot 3 brake fluid at least nine inches deep. The hole in the dribblers control the shot size.You keep feeding lead ingits into the melting pot. Thats all there is to it.
