I'm sure that this has been addressed here before but I find it difficult to find information using the search function. I recently got my son a 28 ga to introduce him to shotgunning and he enjoys shooting stationary clay targets, we'll graduate to moving targets in a few months. I'd like to have him use it for spring turkey next year and all the hype about tungsten super shot makes it a logical choose but no one make a TSS load for 28 ga. I also happen to have a bolt action 410 as well and figure if i'm going to reload for the 28 ga I might as well for the 410.

If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Search for Hawglips on this forum or some of the duck hunting ones. He imports TSS and has some good 28ga loads. Not cheap, but very effective. I use #7 for pheasant.

He asks that we don’t post his loads, but he will send them to you when you get shot.

Yes I agree with what he stated above contact Hal Abbott “Hawglips” you can order TSS from him, and he will supply you with relish recipes. I shoot a Franchi 48AL 28ga with a Indian Creek .525 with Hal’s 28XL 1 5/8oz load of 9.5s and it’s absolutely insane 40-60 yards. It’s a Longbeards worst nightmare killed 4 this past year with that load and it’s Thor’s hammer!!!!

Make sure you check your states game laws. May have gauge and shot size restrictions.

There’s a good article in the latest Shooting Sportsman about 28 ga loads. Game changer.
