Just wondering how many frame sizes were made for the Winchester Model 101 in 28 gauge?Been reading about an early frame size, then a lightweight and finally a featherweight (baby frame) size.

Where there three different sizes or where the early frame and the lightweight the same size frame and the (baby frame) being a smaller size?Or the lightweight and baby frame the same size and the earlier frame larger?

The .410 frame on mine is the same as my 28 ga, if that’s of any help.

I know the early 28 gauge guns were made on a larger frame, same as the .410.Most likely the 20 gauge frame.

Later lightweight and featherweight 28 gauge guns were made.I know the Model 101 28 gauge Quail Special was made on a smaller featherweight frame, but do not know what frame the 28 gauge lightweight guns were made on.
