I'll go ahead and order one. Going fishing all next week so may be a while B4 I get a chance to try to install. Which color on the bolt handle did you decide on? I'm thinking black.....

Yep. Black it is. I'd rather have things understated than loud.

I put the bolt handle on yesterday..snapped right in, solidly. It doesn't rub the receiver while moving by hand and there is no top or bottom (ambidextrous). I haven't shot with it yet, but don't expect any problems.

They should make a sporting version, in that color.

Yes, I shot the smurf gun for a year or two. Shot it well and it functioned flawlessly. Only problem was being a lefty the powder that blew out the receiver ended up in my face and eyes. I had to wash my face and eyes after each outing. Sold it to a friend who still shoots it. I shoot a Perazzi now, but shooting shoulder needs scoped and it's getting painful to shoot. I'm hoping the A400 will ease the recoil effects until I get around to having shoulder fixed.

I agree, heavier would be better. Maybe with enough sales they will take the next step. A lefty in the 28 gauge would be welcome as well.

FYI the Briley bolt release installed just fine on the LH gun. Lettering on the paddle was upside down but not really noticeable. Works good.

Does anyone know when Beretta is going to release a 20 ga. or 28 ga. version of the LH A400?

Don’t think Beretta will even consider a left hand A400 in anything smaller than 12 ga. Wish they would, since the only left hand subgauge by a major manufacturer is the Benelli M2 in 20 gauge. But I don’t think Beretta wants to compete with Benelli, since they are owned by the same company.Too bad because I am looking for a left hand 20 ga, mostly for clays but also hunting, and may be forced to go O/U or SxS. Will anxiously await word from Beretta before I decide - have several months to wait!

P.S. Really like the A400 LH, just want/need something other than 12 Ga.

Unfortunately you are probably correct. As of this date I have not received an answer from Beretta. I did what you were thinking. I purchased a used Browning 28 gauge over under.

I went with the B. Rizzini round body in 28 Gauge. It is on a 28gauge frame. Just use it for bird hunting. Too much kick for me at clays.
