Post subject:  Lower Alabama anyone?

Notice not a lot of recent posts from Alabama. Just retired near Foley, and have started shooting skeet at Styxx River.

Hoping to get my son over for a bird hunt.

Anyone have experience with the nearby bird hunts (Rice Creek, Rhodes Quail Farm)?

Thx,

Mark

Thanks again tbeaux. I think I'm gonna have a full house - not only is my son flying over, but my son in law and my 2 brothers are all coming as well for a hunt. Looking forward to a great time!

I am familiar with Taylor Creek's hunts in Theodore (pheasant), as I pick up there with my dogs from time to time. I also shoot sporting/skeet there as well on the "clays side."

Thanks all. We went to Rice Creek, had a great time and bagged a lot of birds.

I recently joined Bushy Creek Sporting Clays in Perdido (just east of Bay Minette). Very nice 17 station sporting clays course, and a 5-stand. Nice automated equipment, even with programmable delays so I can shoot rounds by myself. I've been out there 3 times and have had the whole place to myself. Also, open 7-days a week - you let yourself in. Glad I found it. Hope to see some of you out there sometime. If anyone wants to link up for a round, I can get you in on my membership.

That's great Mark, sorry I was booked up. Sounds like y'all had good time! Kenny is a good guy.

I've shot at Brushy creek a few times as a guest. That's a nice place for sure. Give me a shout I'd like to go back and shoot the sporting clays courses again.
