I hesitate to mention this because I feel like it is my own private reserve. I've been shooting here for the last few months. Below is a link to Foxhall Sporting Club. It's a great facility. One Trident from Beretta. They have a great sporting clays course, two five stand courses, one covered, and a wobble stand. The facilities are top notch. Guided hunts, gun rental and instruction are also available.

It's just over the Chattahoochee on the Douglas County side. Not too far past Tom Lowe.

I live in Bama and we shoot FoxHall every few weeks. Top notch location and has a good layout. Target presentations can be interesting. They sporting clays is one of the "newer" offerings at FoxHall. They have begun moving targets around so its gettin better everyday! Anyone within a few hours should go spend the day there

I didn't think anyone ever read this thread.

They've been having some invitational sporting clay matches recently. They are going to replace the uncovered 5-stand with a skeet field. The covered 5-stand is great for rainy day shooting. I understand that they are planning on adding a second sporting clay course in the near future.

You are right, they are always moving the layout. Just when I get one down, it's gone.

I shoot on weekdays mostly. It's like having your own manor house. The staff is really great. They also have two instructors on staff.

It's a first class operation without the attitude. Nice people.

I shoot mostly during the week myself. Its better that way, less busy...
A skeet field is a good idea but a second clays course is a better idea.
Hope to make my way over there this week if the rain holds out...

Just getting into the sport. I live in East Atlanta and work in Douglas County. Where I work isnt too far from Boundary Waters and Clinton Nature Preserve, so it would be awesome if some more experienced riders could show me the ropes after work hours. It looks pretty easy to get lost in Clinton, so Id appreciate some inside knowledge.
