Just wondering how many shotguns people have; I have four, but I am looking to get a 5th (another O/U as I fell in love with my first). Is there such as thing as too many?

Good edit, Skates!

Counting a couple of "tomato stakes," I currently have 23 shotguns in the herd; six O/Us, three SXSs, eight semi-autos, five pumps and three single-shot. Brands include Browning (and Browning CItori), Beretta, Kolar, Remington, Winchester and an old Sears Roebuck "Ranger." The Ranger was a gift from my uncle when I was nine and it dispatched many a pheasant in the early years. It is currently undergoing a complete restoration, just for sentimental reasons.

292, mostly "Trade Brand Name" single barrel single shot break opens collected over 35 years. I stopped after the wife told me that id I bought another gun, she was leaving. I told her that was fine with me but please don't take the dog. Actually I ran out of room for any more.

11 shotguns, but no shotties. A couple of those are earmarked for the grandkids. I only need one more, for now.

I have a few shotguns and here are some of them, though 1 Remington has been replaced with another model.

Exactly.

Of course, I don't own any... guns are dangerous.

FYI, "shotgun" makes you sound like a tool.

shotgun is that a new type of firearm? Is that what Remington calls their 8ga. kiln guns?

I may have a shotgun in the safe, have to look though.

"skateslabel" I think what you may have picked up is that to many on this site, calling shotguns "shotgun's" is akin to calling your wife a "ho" or a "wench". Curiously, no where have I ever heard anyone use the term "shotgun" other than on this site. Is it some sort of geographical term?

Anyway, to answer your question, 15 shotguns, but I will not be happy until I have bought just one more. :D

At the moment, I have 13 shotguns. I trade so much that I can't keep an accurate inventory. As I travel around the state, I keep a few in the trunk of my car. Quite a few gun shops and pawn shops in the state know me pretty well and keep what they think I will buy or trade for in a secure place. It is nothing unusual for me to leave with five guns and come back with different ones.

There are keepers that aren't going anywhere. The Franchi 48s, Stevens 311s, SKB semis, and a few others are keepers and ain't going anywhere except to my sons and grandchilden after I have gone on to my reward. The others are traders.

As soon as I get home, I record the serial numbers. I recommend that everyone record those SNs. I make a post here annually recommending that everyone record those SNs.
